When your out of work, it can play with your mind

When your out of work, it sure can play with your mind. My daughters boyfriend has been out of work officially a month now. He doesn’t get much positive reinforcement from his parents at home. That doesn’t help when you dad tells you how much of a loser you are! My husband and I try very hard to encourage him, as well as my daughter. He has filled out countless applications for work, doing all he can to avoid fast food after the horrible experience he had at his last place of employment. He had a few call backs and one interview so far. He thinks part of his problem is his weight. He is a little on the heavy side. Nothing very serious but he does have a little extra weight. Today he was sending links to my daughter before she went to work for her to read, like liporexall reviews, and natural fat loss cures. She forward me the email and asked me for some advice. That cracks me up, we live in the same house and she forwards me the email asking for advice, instead of just calling me into her room to talk. I told her that for a man to be out of work, it really plays with your mind, and to be as supportive as she can be. He doesn’t have money for gas to put in his car let alone to purchase some medications right at the moment. They had some serious drama in their lives from so called friends and well I think he just needs more positive vibes in his life and less negative!! I wish I could just get in our car, drive to his house and talk to his parents, but hubby doesn’t feel that would be a good thing, that it could make things worse. I feel so bad for the kid. I pray for him, my daughter is praying for him and so are our neighbors. We have been encouraging them to go to church together. Since there is no money for gas, they are not seeing each other as much as they were. But they can weather this storm.
I know they are a bit upset with us because. Two weeks ago I gave him gas money and said it was the last time. My daughter can’t keep giving him money for gas, she needs to get her permit, license and save for a car so she can stop depending on us for transportation to work. We had to put our foot down last week and I know we are doing the right thing. She can’t just hand her paycheck over to him!
